The space was absolutely lovely and well-suited to the scenic design—I haven’t seen a show this Fringe that managed to invoke the cold like this did—a cold that we all know. And it matched the frigidness of the two longing souls at the center. With bravura performances by both Jessica Durdock Moreno and Nicky Romaniello, it really is a piece of beauty.
What I didn't like
More, please.
My overall impression
“To Richard” is a moving, impossibly entertaining portrait of two people in dire straits who discover the magic of connection. Moreno’s writing is stellar and crisp, but, more importantly, deeply human and unsparing in its acknowledgement of the complexity of tragedy. Do not miss it—so incredibly psyched that it will be coming back for Encores!
