Oh my! Tanya dominates the stage in her story about growing up in Singapore trying to find acceptance in her self. It's not surprising to learn she is a professional voice-over actress, as all her voices (as well as characters) have tremendous depth and distinction. Her show also gives insight into a specific cultural struggle that doesn't get enough voice in the mainstream. I watched it twice, because I simply couldn't get enough after the first time!... full review

Tanya is an incredibly versatile performer. She creates distinct vibrant characters. The show is an autobiography which covers scenes from her childhood to motherhood. It addresses issues of body issues, discrimination, and wrestling with identity and image. It is funny, dramatic and brave. A highly entertaining show. Recommended... full review

Tanya Thomas is totally and astoundingly brilliant in her solo show about her multicultural upbringing and ongoing life, from the easiest to the most emotionally difficult of situations she describes as the "Freakshow" of her life. From the very beginning of the show, the talented Ms. Thomas had the audience enthralled. Her portrayal of the storyline resonated true to the many emotions one would feel when growing up as she did. Her presentation as a drag queen was fabulous. The many characters of the story were so well performed that is was easy to transform from one character to the next character.... full review
