So lovely to see such a lovely and true story on a stage through the veil of honesty AND comedy. It was so so lovely. Each step gives you a true journey of what Jannica has gone through and the mental, physical, and emotional repercussions of dealing with a life that wasn't necessarily expected. It was so beautiful. ... full review

This was a lovely, empowering piece. Jannica Olin is a skillful and talented actor who seamlessly carried the audience along with her in her journey through her loss and rediscovery of feminine identity. At one point, Jannica decides to shave her hair completely. I cried as I remembered cutting my mother's hair when she had cancer and how she wept as I did and told me that her femininity was being taken away. This piece explores the absurdity of how important hair is to a woman's self worth. ... full review

A brave storyteller showing the audience what it was like to transition from a society standard “normal” girl to one that loses something that makes society accept women: her hair. It was quirky, funny, imaginative, sad, uplifting, and so many other things. ... full review

A common trope amongst one-person-shows is a friendly presentation of a misunderstood affliction or issue, where our performer takes us on a biographical journey through their unique experience. This can be an exhausting and tedious adventure for many, who forget to engage their audiences with charm and kindness in their public therapy session. (IM)PERFEKT does not fall into this trap, presented with charm and charisma by Jannica Olin. Jannica's ebullient and effervescent performance relates to us a heartbreaking examination of beauty and self-value in one of the cities most prone to shallowness in the world.... full review

What a powerful show. Funny, heartwarming, eye-opening to the judgements we put on ourselves and others. Beautifully vulnerable. Teaches the vitally important message that our beauty and self worth comes through embracing the uniqueness of who we are.... full review

Jannica struck chords so deeply embedded in my psyche and so resonant in our society there was pretty much an audible soundtrack of uh-huhs and mmm-huhs going on the whole time. Even though this was her very personal and not so common experience with the condition of Alopecia, we all related to so much of what she went through on her journey to self acceptance and love.... full review

Jannica has done something really important here. She has taken her unique story and told it in a way that generalizes to experiences we have all had. Jannica made us understand how we allow our identities to be constructed by external forces, and how we might have an opportunity to reject such forces and instead choose to define ourselves. We not only sympathize and empathize with her, but we feel the parallels with our own struggles. Most importantly, she took us to a conclusion that showed that if she was able to find her footing and continue to search for her truths, we all can find ways to conquer our challenges and find ourselves. ... full review
