It’s so bitingly specific, with a mix of broad absurdity, emotional gut punches, and ego checks for all creative types. Just when you think you’re safe to enjoy a bizarre in the best way interpretative dance, Matt Ritchey swings back to a cutting truth that makes you laugh, then die a little inside. Overall, a sharply written, hilariously performed piece that speaks to (and makes fun of) why we all entered theater in the first place.
What I didn't like
The emotional resolution, while genuinely and surprisingly touching, felt a little rushed.
My overall impression
A crowd-pleasing send-up of a solo show and all of the ego, conflict, and catharsis that it entails.
