What I liked

The lighting was such a phenomenal way of storytelling, it aided this one actress to play so many different roles seamlessly. I also enjoyed how much I learned and how interactive it was.

What I didn't like

Some lines were dropped, so more familiarity with the script. And more food, please! I could’ve just eaten my way through that show

My overall impression

A beautiful play about identity and culture. Pho Girl goes deep beyond the surface of what we think we know about Asian culture. It digs into the roots of cultural division and the struggles of being biracial. An honest, funny play that through fantastic storytelling poses the right questions that makes you think about how we have viewed identity and worth for so many generations.
