What I liked

Despite the production limits of a Fringe show, this show managed to bring a post-apocalyptic nightmare to life through dynamic direction and cleverly minimalist set decorations, like strewn newspapers for a deserted street. The writing was top notch, with pop culture deep dives, self-aware asides, and a dystopian plot that never got in the way of a good time. All of the actors leaned into their archetypes in the best way, providing the kind of campy fun you might expect from a midnight movie.

What I didn't like

Not much apart from a bigger budget and even crazier staging- even the scene transitions were fun, thanks to some ballet-inspired set decorating.

My overall impression

A lively and irreverent take on the post-apocalypse, full of imaginative staging, conversationally quippy dialogue, and self-aware skewering of sci-fi tropes.
