What I liked

Brilliant direction by Frank Caeti and choreography by Ally Vega which kept the humor in the forefront at all times. Just a really fun show to watch from start to finish.

What I didn't like

More performances!!!!

My overall impression

Such a fun show with an excellent cast of performers who know how to milk a joke for all it is worth. This comedy about an Asian girl longing to follow her own dreams and not her parents succeeds due to its lead actress Joy Regullano who wrote the book and lyrics, and performs several songs on violin. I especially enjoyed her “Love Me For Who I Am” song and the comparison life she leads when her dream of having Supportive White Parents comes to fruition. The entire cast was thoroughly entertaining, but I especially enjoyed Greg Smith as her hip hop, grungy white brother.
