Parents just don't understand. Strive for excellence! Do your homework! Don't let your GPA dip! Practice your music! Get a good job! It can be exhausting for anyone, but for those who grew up as a child of immigrants, it can feel like you're working harder than anyone else around you. Wouldn't it be nice to just, y'know, take it easy?... full review

I love this show. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this show! My choice for Top of the Fringe! It's funny, insightful, the musical is fantastic, the performances are not only great but are crisp, specific, and perfectly stylized. Huge credits to not only the cast but the director for this. The songs are super catchy and Joy is simply adorable. A great look at cultural differences made with love, understanding, and heart. ... full review

This was such a hilarious but full story show all crammed into a small half hour. It pokes fun at how different types of parents-supportive completely in what their kids want or supportive in pushing their kids to strive for the better-and the good and bad of both. It was so quirky and at the same time joking on true facts to where it made it even more hilarious.... full review

Full writeup at https://cahighways.org/wordpress/?p=15377 The show is extremely funny, with entertaining music and great performances. Perhaps it leaned into the stereotypes a bit, but comedy has the ability to do that and get away with it. It was one of our favorite shows of the night.... full review
