What I liked
I liked the raw honesty and sensitivity of the piece. I liked the bravery that it took to take this story to the world and share it. I think these stories of love are so important to the world right now and I applaud this show for giving this gift to the world. People have to see each others with respect and love—and truth and compassion is the first way to make the world see the trans community and every disenfranchised community through a compassionate lens.
What I didn't like
The body mics are not necessary—the performers could easily be heard and they seemed to be malfunctioning and were a bit of a distraction. That’s a technical thing and can easily be left off all together.
My overall impression
A true-to-life story of a true love between two souls—no matter their physical manifestation. I was entranced with this story. More spoken word, or creative nonfiction memoir than a play, these two women take you deeply inside their lives and their beautiful and supportive love. I left the theatre thinking LOVE IS LOVE—and isn’t it always a miracle. I am SO happy I saw this!
