Before you read this review you have to know I am not an unbiased reviewer. No one who has ever met Robert Legget is unbiased. Because the fact of the matter is…if you don’t like Bob…well you are kind of an asshole. Bob is PURE joy. His passion for the arts has no rival. He has seen thousands of concerts and thousands of plays. What other critic can say that? And as he tells us in his compelling one man show Living The Dream thatBob felt it was time to stop being in the audience and step on stage. If for only 1 reason. To feel what it feels like to be performer.
Bob is a wonderful writer but his true gift is nuturing artists both big and small. He is a humble man so his show barely talks about that. But you can read between lines that is what Bob’s life is about.
He share intimate details on the failure of his marriage and struggles with his health.
But the conflicts of his life are more simple than that.
How can Bob make one more friend?
Because that is really his life’s dream.
To give and give and give.
To share his life with friends.
It was a pleasure to be in the audience last night.
The people that were there love the guy.
And the strangers…well after an hour they loved him too.
Doesn’t that sound like the best show ever?
