So many times you see a “hot asshole” who isn’t really confident or is faking the overconfidence and I don’t buy it. This was not the case for Acid Wash Love. Actor Laurent Sayer stood out and brought beautiful dimension to a character that can be played so flatly. Obviously, with the assistance of the solid script Sayer made the audience swoon, and root for him which is difficult as the “Jackass” archetype.

My overall impression
This show has such a refreshing take in a post-Metoo movement world. It’s funny, it’s cheeky, it’s REAL! So many moments had me thinking back to my time as a freshman in college. Stevens has written a fantastic play that really turns stereotypes on their head and challenges our conceptions. This play is personal, so many times you feel like a fly on the wall intruding on the lives of these three individuals.
