Inspired by Dante’s Inferno and adapted from the graphic novel by Zach Beckert, the stage version was written by Melissa Ordaz, with musical score composed by Matt Ordaz. Maggie Dorfman and John Michael Logie were magical in the lead roles, taking us through every emotion available to lead us to the goal. ... full review

I thought this piece was engaging and impactful. The cast was grounded and honest, finding moments of joy in script that deals with some heavy elements (no pun intended lol). The devised movement was beautiful and progressed the story in a compelling way.... full review

An amazing look into the mind of mental illness. Silent Joy deals with themes in a kind, and thoughtful way, keeping real to both the original material and the pulls from a classic work. It left me in tears, and aware of both myself and everyone I love. ... full review

A beautiful beautiful representation of the journey through trauma and grief. Given this production's dedication to serving those under privileged and at most risk, you can trust this to be a thoughtful and raw look at what it feels like to go through one of the hardest experiences there are and that is no easy feat to pull off.... full review

Recently saw Silent Joy. This show is a MUST SEE! This is a much more ambitious production than most Fringe shows I’ve seen. It was an innovative and moving piece of theatre. Made me think about actions, consequences and what is truly important in life. The cast was amazing. Two days after seeing it with friends, we are still talking about it. A timely story. Go see it!... full review

A MUST SEE THIS FRINGE SEASON! It was fantastic! The story itself is captivatingly well written and the performance of it was incredible. It's definitely my favorite Fringe show so far. Maggie and John brought the characters of Girl & Joy to life and shared an important message of self love supported by a talented ensemble. I highly recommend you see it. ... full review

Silent Joy is a thought provoking and emotional show. The creative set design kept focus on the engaging story, which was suspenseful until the end. Led by their co-lead actors (Maggie Dorfman and John Logie), the ensemble was truthful and grounded, a feat for such an abstract show. They most definitely raised the bar on what to expect from the Fringe Festival. This is a must see!... full review
