The songs were great and fun, Laura Jo’s presence was confident and poised, and the production was very stripped down that it focused mostly on the music rather than gimmicks.
What I didn't like
Honestly, I would say that maybe having some more dramatic lighting shifts for a couple of the “steamier” pieces would be fun, but other than that, there’s nothing to complain about here.
My overall impression
Laura Jo is very talented. She has made Shakespeare heroines accessible to all, and the pieces and transitions were polished and worth a look just for the simplicity of everything in the craziness that is Fringe.
