It was simplistic, mesmerizing, and the lighting was great. She’s clearly extremely talented, and has one heck of a voice
What I didn't like
Nothing I can think of. My suggestion to future audience members would be to make sure your read the program ahead of time. I noticed that each character name on the program matched the lighting in the performance.
My overall impression
Wow, she does it all! Laura Jo Trexler put on a highly entertaining show that left me begging for more. I was thrilled with the variation of musical genres from song to song. Her powerful voice soared through the theater over her beautiful piano playing classical, sultry jazz, gritty saloon/parlor country, even rapping, with laughs along the way. I loved every minute of it, and even picked up a copy of the soundtrack for future listening.
