What I liked

I loved all the different characters, Laura Jo Trexler’s great voice, the creative use of piano, a single prop, and even the piano bench, and the humanity of the characters. Great show.

What I didn't like

No need for improvement!

My overall impression

Laura Jo Trexler takes us through a roller coaster romp of emotions and comedy with Shakespeare’s women (one sonnet, other famous characters from major plays). You live through the unloved daughter (Ophelia), the sexy lover (Beatrice), the rapping Lady Macbeth, and a gay Viola (If I’m remembering correctly). The creativity of the show and its scope make it a moment-by-moment surprise, magical, very funny and moving. And honestly, Laura Jo can SING. And play the piano, even with just one hand. This is a not-to-be-missed fringe experience. So glad I saw the show!
