Super unique story telling. Interesting design. Loved the props and costumes and set up. The actors were on it. Really committing to the moments. It's a crazy story, told in a crazy way. Love that!... full review

Another poignant and creative work by the Puckwit Gang. Makes the point without preaching. Witty, strong performances. Cohesive story. If you liked chimpskin last year you will like this collaborative piece.... full review

Dr. B proves we will believe anything. Con men will always take advantage of the weak and uneducated. A media savvy con man sits in a position of power, silently watching the unimaginable. Sound familiar? As bizarre as this true story is, this performance reminds us there are no easy answers to our most troubling questions. ... full review

Fantastic! A cooky story about a quack's ride during the depression era America, chaperoned along by good 'ol American bluegrass music and southern hospitality. As any good doctor would say, take this show and call America in the morning!... full review

The performance was wonderfully unexpected, well written, well performed and cohesively directed. It felt familiar, as if it were unraveling deeper notions of the characters in my own life. All the while it was extremely theatrical with an ambitious group of spot on cues. I would recommend this play to all. ... full review

An experimental piece that explores the story of a healer/charlatan/con man's affect on the lives of those who wish to be "healed" by his services. The piece is charming at first, but manages to take on an almost sinister tone at times as more is learned about Dr. B's radical methods. The show provides a chilling reminder of how gullible we all can be if we want something bad enough.... full review

The Dangerous Cures of Dr. B is an example of the other type of Fringe show: a show that uses humor to get across a very serious point. In this case, the humor serves to deflate the power of the cult of personality. Dr. B serves as a metaphor for President Trump, and the dangerous cult that surrounds both, oblivious to the fact they are working against their own interests. This is a show that must be seen, although, alas, in Los Angeles it is so much preaching to the choir. Full writeup at https://cahighways.org/wordpress/?p=14459... full review
