One of the added treats to this staging is director Johnson’s preshow spiel in which he lays out the early history of theatre and Seneca’s contributions to it. That was worth the price of admission in and of itself. A Platinum Medal... full review

A new translation of a Roman tragedy, this show offers some cool visuals and a mix of dance, violence, heroics, masks and blood. I found it a little hard to relate to the story of Hercules and the trials of his family as he returns from the underworld, but by the end, I was moved by the final reveal of what lies ahead for the hero and his family.... full review
