About the Project
Shades of Mary explores the many facets of Mary, Jesus’s mom, as she navigates the strange life she has been given the task of living. Is she crazy? Is she chosen? What kind of a woman could weather the strange odyssey of believing that her son is the son of God and will be sacrificed? What traits would God look for in a woman to bear such a burden? Strength, faith, humor, compassion, wisdom? Who is this girl and how does she change as she becomes a woman and handles the public humiliations and inner doubts?
