What I liked
Everything really. Loved the accordion player and the use of music to transition between the stories. The use of images from his childhood behind him as he spoke of these people from his past— it made you feel like you were there and adds a really cool dimension to it. The stories are pretty perfectly structured to hit the audience with comedy when he wants, or a touching moment, or a life lesson. Without spoiling, my favorite story was the father in the hospital and subsequent Rolling Stones adventure.
What I didn't like
Wouldn’t change anything. I do want more stories, so they should get on a follow up.
My overall impression
Really well written and directed, with a Tour de Force performance by Keith Blaney, this show uses heart and humor to take the audience on a journey through Keith’s early life in Florida. There’s such a full-bodied aspect to these stories and the way they are performed, as if recalled from memory, it really has an incredible effect. Really loved it.
