What I liked

Matthew is a very creative director. I was inspired to do the Fringe by his production of Mary’s Medicine last year. Honestly inspired by him and always looking for ideals to steal! lol The actors were able to capture the period, especially with dialects. Asia Lynn Pitts, Robby Devillez, and David J. Cork were stand outs, presence from all though.

What I didn't like

I truly learn from Matthew’s work. If anything there’s the scene between Asia and David, maybe raise the stakes with a little more tension, you no what I mean. ;)

My overall impression

Matthew truly knows how to use the stage to his advantage. His use of the space and lighting really was gorgeous. The actors, in particular Asia are truly engaging and the spirited performances ring out. The story, though period, really speaks to even todays current appropriation or take over of minority culture/entrepreneurship. Some of the dialogue was quite striking which I adored.
