What I liked
I loved that it felt like a genuine conversation with the audience. And honestly, it just made me laugh…simple as that.
What I didn't like
It could use more of an emotional arch…Steve is so close to achieving this. Right now it is a really well crafted piece of stand-up…but it is bordering on something that could be a GENUINE piece of serio-comic theatre.
My overall impression
I was so impressed with Steve’s ability to attack the material head on. His direct approach to the audience was fearless and incredibly engaging. His timing was impeccable. His humor was self-deprecating, did not take itself serious AT ALL, was equal parts entertaining and abusive toward the audiece (!!), but what surprised me the most was how self-reflective and moving the whole piece was.
