Angels Are Intersex is the true story of how Sarah became Seven and embraced their being a nonbinary Intersex person. It starts with finding an abandoned pair of angel wings, just off Melrose, which leads her to go on a spiritual journey that takes in Native American, Christian, Muslim and Judaism’s perpectives on gender, sexuality and angelic beings. Through writing this play she becomes they who is reborn as 7; the number of divine perfection. And deadly sins.
