Set solidly in Southern California, complete with references that only a native can get, this is a story about three young women falling in love, figuring out who they are, and managing a very big and stressful secret about their best friend. The script is tight and funny, and playwrite Katie Eiler's wit and creativity is in evidence everywhere. The cast makes you laugh and tear up, and keeps you on your toes trying to figure out what is coming next. ...

Spectacular Women doing an interesting script. A story unlike anything I have ever watched on stage. ...

A deeply personal play that was clearly an intense labor of love for all involved. The sillier Fringe stuff is all well and good, but THIS is the kind of art that I love best about the Fringe. Truly a unique story I have never seen before...

The storyline of "Crunch" feels derivative of pop culture stories about buddies who care for a monster-like thing, but it’s nevertheless original with its cast of all women characters who are figuring out their sexualities in the process.

A surreal, haunting and exquisitely produced play about the nature of loss, change and friendship. I’m still processing what I saw, which is the highest compliment I can give any kind of performance art. ...

Yes. A great cast going at it for the duration. Because there are layers here and a good deal of thinky business (which I had to speak with people about afterwards to fully grasp) you'll want to go in clear headed and ready. The low lighting keeps things pressurized and spooky. A great piece run by a talented crew. Katie Eiler's script is tight and clear.
And a great October play. As part of the Sacred Fools Monster Mash Triple Feature, this is the "serious" one. Though there are some hard laughs (some of the best in the Fringe, I think - the fish/lizard business in the hospital was outstanding), this is the one that puts your face in it. ...

A vivid and confident story about adolescence, identity, and female love. This show is wildly imaginative, unafraid to experiment, and pulled off with so much panache that the audience has no choice but to enjoy the ride....
