What I liked

Tatum Langton was great. She believably played the part of a woman trying to fight an inner struggle. I felt empathy for Langton’s character.
This sounds silly but, when Ms. Langton laughed, it sounded like a real laugh. Too often people can’t get that to sound realistic. For that matter crying seems very hard for many actors to pull off.
The original story being from another century excuses the sexist overtones and I’m glad those weren’t changed to make a modern audience comfortable. A time when women and wives were treated life possessions ought to be shown so that more people can see how ridiculous that was.

What I didn't like

Having brought up laughing, the trapped character in the wallpaper sounded forced and took me out of the moment.
On the subject of being pulled out of the reality of the performance, for the first 15-20 minutes people were trickling into the theatre. This took place about 6 times and was disruptive to the flow for the actors and me as an audience member. While I understand the need for attendees and the tight budget of such a small theatre, there ought to be a point where late arrivals are prevented from entering a play already in effect.

My overall impression

I really like stories of people losing their grip on reality and this was definitely in that vein.
