What I liked

The beat boxer sitting on stage was something I haven’t seen in a show before and I thought it was a perfect addition. I loved the cell phone scene( but you already know that) and then when the actor steps in from the audience and the cast speaks about racial identity! Yes!!! That worked!

What I didn't like

The opening sequence was hard to follow, I think maybe being a bit more obvious that it’s a commentary because then when the main character next reveals “her body is not her own,” we get the beginning, so in a sense I didn’t drop in to the piece until like maybe 10 or so minutes in, when the character began to change her clothes and says that. But as soon as I understand what the story was, and once I saw what was being communicated, I thought they nailed it!

My overall impression

Amazing!!! Carries choreography was on point. My favorite scene was a dance and spoken word piece commenting on the use of cell phones!!! That was so powerful and well executed, I’m not gonna tell y’all what it was you just have to see it!
