There is never a dull moment in this show. Raw feelings of the characters create a powerful arc around grief in a family long after the immediate loss. It explores what lingers for each of them and is complicated with an interracial element. Even though this a dramatic topic, the amazing director and terrific cast inject humor with heart into the show accented masterfully with the use of the props that help give the absent family member a place on the stage. It is a great show that moves and provokes thought. ... full review

Fuchou with Bourbon was gripping from beginning to end. The playwright knows how to create dramatic tension, especially within a family situation. The relationships were heightened, yes, but also very real. ... full review

This is a wonderful play. The story is cultural and very well written. The realistic problem of international marriage was expressed clearly. The conflicts between two kids grow up together have completely different opinions about their parents. Rose’s anger was clearly toward her father, but also herself. ... full review
