What I liked

Solid performances, thoughtful and hip pop-cultural touchstones. Flecks of humor woven into some cool writing. Great premise, nicely executed. Doesn’t hit you over the head with politics or even history. Plays to the height of the audience’s intelligence.

What I didn't like

Maybe a bit more dimension to some of the characters. Maybe a bit more humor. I really enjoy the relationships presented, and want to see more. Some interaction, perhaps, between the two family members whose story connects but whom the audience never sees together. The piece feels like it’s on its way to something more.

My overall impression

Clever, engaging meditation on American values spiced with non-partisan corruption.
