Full disclosure: I am a white male, this show is about having black women’s hair, so it’s awesome that I found every moment engaging and relatable. The show has a wonderful energy guided by the solo performer Ella. It is not just about black women’s hair, it’s about that piece of all of us that is represented a certain way in media or public or entertainment that we feel like we need to follow but inside we want to do our own thing. Sometimes assimilating works for us and sometimes it doesn’t but ultimately finding the true core of who we are is the thing that brings us to happiness. The performers energy never waivers. This is such a fun and positive show, I really loved it!
