What I liked
Both performances have a story with a strong voice and purpose. Completely different in nature but equally compelling.
What I didn't like
It’s hard to complain when both performances were so clearly personal and determined to say exactly what the creator wanted them to say. Are there things I might suggest, especially tightening both by a few minutes? Certainly—but in this case I don’t think such suggestions matter very much.
My overall impression
These are two great women who have put together very different but equally compelling experiences. I’m very glad to see that they’re getting some recognition because they definitely deserve it.
This production connects two very different ideas into a sharp, exceptional hour of theatre that everyone should go see immediately.
