What I liked

Lisa’s performance was understated and lush, allowing us into her private thoughts and feelings without hitting us in the face with them. She makes us feel as if we are in on her secrets, like she is telling only us the way things really are. She wins us over immediately.

What I didn't like

It’s a shame there has to be such a robust (read:loud) show in the space right next to this one, but such is the nature of Fringe.

My overall impression

Oh my, what a delightful little show! In a gentle, patient monologue, the show builds a complete picture of a woman who has made the best of circumstances in which she was thrown, despite the fact that it was contrary to her own dreams and desires. When she finally (spoiler!) finds a way to carve out for herself the life she always wanted, we are thrilled and tickled for her.
