Cherry Poppins and Michael Shaw Fisher - doesn't really seem fair, does it? In summary: If you haven't seen a Cherry Poppins show, go. They're great. And if you haven't seen a Michael Shaw Fisher Show, you won't be disappointed. Artists at the top of their respective games doing what they're great at. PLUS this show is at 3 Clubs. So you can sit close and lean in. Super fun, super crazy, super duper. Order a drink and enjoy the ride. ... full review

I've only ever seen one burlesque show before and it was CPP's Harry Potter production. I was simply amazed. Who knew there could be comedy in burlesque, or a live band, or even choreographed dance and song numbers? Not this guy. I had to see "To Thine Own Cherry Be True" and all I have to say is wow. They just get better and better. Everything down to the writing is beyond solid. The song and dance numbers? Even better than before. It's safe to say I'll be back for the next one. ... full review

An elaborate, rambunctious romp through the fever dream that (supposedly) gave the Bard his plays ... Full of horrible puns, it pops parody shots at a large portion of Shakespeare's work, dashing through a daft plot that tangles up characters and tales, punctuated by dozens of remarkably well-staged musical numbers (almost all with disappearing dress) ... Watch for top-line burlesque dancing, powerhouse singing, constant campy humor, love and sex in all their forms ... and if you don't fall in love with a fairy or a witch or a prince, you need a drink!... full review

Every year the Cherries improve and innovate, and they do not disappoint with Shakeslesque, an uproarious, witty, and surprisingly haunting journey through the bawdy and beautiful world of Shakespeare. ... full review

GO SEE THIS SHOW!!! My favorite thing I've seen this Fringe :) *So* smart and funny; I was DEEPLY impressed by the number of Shakespeare puns. Was expecting to just see a burlesque show, but was treated to an intricate plot (within-a-plot, no less!), fleshed out characters, creative song covers, and some *truly* excellent singing! And the burlesque which anchors all of it is fantastic as well. The script is laugh-out-loud funny, and I say that as someone who *hates* that expression. The performers are across-the-board GREAT, and a number of them are truly gifted at comedic timing. Again: GO SEE THIS SHOW, whether you are familiar with burlesque or not (I wasn't). It is smart and sexy and *hilarious*. Really cannot stress enough how much fun ... full review

This piece is a perfect representation of at least three theatrical genres: cabaret, burlesque and fringe. With its extraordinarily gifted ensemble, its clever writing and its concise and specific direction, Shakeslesque offers what should be viewed as a definitive fringe production. Seemingly dozens of musical numbers (all covers), bring a postmodern take on their contextual purpose and, when combined with jaw-dropping, gravity-defying choreography, further the writer's bizarre, mystical tale following many of Shakespeare's more notable characters as they phantasmagoriaize their original intent. It's a brilliant construct with limitless talent. Every fringe producer should learn from this production.... full review

The Cherries never cease to amaze me! Ever since I was introduced to them last year, I have been a die hard CP fan. I even had the honor to perform with them. Now although the talented women and men of the cherries are talented (AF!) this show manged to exceed my already high expectations and put them on another level. From the witty writing, amazing costumes, pitch perfect solos and harmonies, and great comedic acting. I was mind boggled and floored at how well this show was executed. Shakespeare is head banging in his grave in appreciation. You only have one more chance to see it so if you haven't, run Forrest run! I love Cherry Poppins! Always have and always will.... full review

The choreography was polished, the singing was rockstar, the actors were fully committed, on point, and SEXY AS HELL, and the story was wild and creative and Shakespearian and tracked well (not to mention funny AF). Awesome show. Super professional quality. Kudos to you all! Highly recommended!... full review
