A few historical insights I didn’t know and an actual hypnotic act, apparently.
Also, no program was provided, so we came and left with no further information about Dr Mark Gasson and his background than what we saw standing before us!
What I didn't like
Inaccurate advertising. If I’d known it was a hypnotic act dressed up with a few tepid tricks I’d have been less interested and less disappointed.
My overall impression
Total show was 40 minutes of mildly interesting history with the emphasis on mild! Not quite the show whose advertising captured my attention. Dr Mark Gasson, more informally dressed than his audience, talked briefly about the blooming of 19th-century English psychics, involved the audience in some tepid tricks and did his showpiece, hypnotizing a pretty girl from the audience with whispered instructions which were inaudible to the rest of us!
