My overall impression
I’m the mother of a 9-year-old girl with autism. Learning her diagnosis and all of the years of therapies hasn’t been easy. I still struggle to understand things from her standpoint. But in Magic 8 Ball, George Steeves took me on a journey into my daughter’s shoes and what it’s like to live in her world. The pain, the frustrations, the difficulties, the fears, the joys, the hopes. I cried so many times. I walked away from George’s show enlightened … hopeful of my daughter’s future … inspired to be a better mom … and driven to help her to be all that she can be. George, thank you for giving me that immense gift in only a 1-hour performance.
