Great performances from a versatile cast make the show a winner. The different dialects and character work all in colorful costumes are fun. The theatre in the Ruby is comfy, and a good fit for the show.
What I didn't like
The backstage drama that threads the piece together often seems tedious. While it’s nice to thread Aesop’s fables into the actors’ (and our) modern life, it’s sometimes feels like a grating and whiny distraction.
My overall impression
Finely-tuned performances breathe life into the classic, and sometimes, forgotten fables.
