What I liked
Marcus’ passion for his subject, and also for storytelling is infectious. Using modern colloquialisms interspersed with Shakespeare and the scripture, this show brings a man’s life to the stage in a way that the uninformed will understand! Marcus’ use of the limited stage is vast, and his energy doesn’t falter.
What I didn't like
This is obviously a work in progress, as Marcus adapts and updates, and I would be interested to see what it grows into.
My overall impression
Part one man show, part sermon, part lecture, part passion project, SOLOMON: KING, POET & LOVER is a fun piece of theatre, where you leave the theatre having been entertained and having learned a little something!!
