An impressive display of character work and physicality in this inventive adaptation of religious-historical subject matter. Marcus is a consummate storyteller and performer, seamlessly transitioning from character to character using both vocal and physical differentiation. He maintains a high level of energy throughout the hour, keeping the audience engaged and involved in this entertaining retelling of pivotal moments in Solomon's life. I learned a lot of things I never knew I never knew about the Bible during this show, but it never felt didactic. Bravo!... full review

Completely blown away by Marcus' artistry and mastery of such a historic and complex story. Truly impressed by the beautiful, musical dialogue he wrote and his ability to seamlessly integrate modern references for comedic relief. I went in knowing about 4% about Solomon and left feeling like I truly learned and experienced something amazing. Wish I could create something so unique! Well done, and congratulations! ... full review

As advertised! Freed delivers a bravura performance as King Solomon and a number of other characters, too. It's a funny and captivating show, which includes song, humor, and fascinating narration Why couldn't Hebrew School be more like this? You'll never look at "The Song of Songs" or "Ecclesiastes" the same way again.... full review

First of all what a REMARKABLE performer. He delivers verse with skill and ease and breaks up the story with gymnastics, break dancing, singing, and spot on crowd work. He knows exactly how to reach a modern audience. I left feeling like I had just learned a massive chunk of history, but I never once felt as if I was being taught anything. Marcus J. Freed's stunning physicality, dynamic voice, mixed with his never-ending supply of charisma makes this show one you DO NOT want to miss.... full review

Wow. Where to begin? Marcus did an outstanding job. The play was engaging, thought-provoking and funny. I found myself singing and laughing right along. I also found myself questioning how often in my own life I knew the answers to my problems and did not take my own advice. All-one-all, job very well done!... full review
