What I liked

Great Acting!

What I didn't like

I felt the direction was a bit heavy handed from time to time. It seemed to teeter between comedy and farce and went too far. It worked best when it was more of a comedy and the good news is that is where the show went in the end. Delightful ending.

My overall impression

What a great cast. Very tight and very funny. Very clear characters and very well defined. I gotta quit saying very. Focus is ever shifting on to a different character and they all work quite well together with no upstaging and beautiful connections. The clown seems to be a plot device and then we end up having a wonderful human character a beautifully understated performance which is wonderful behind that clown makeup. I don’t have kids and don’t know that world but like all good plays it doesn’t matter. It gives us a look into that world.
