What I liked

This play shatters the orientalist gaze of the west towards Arab Women. It speaks to the struggles that Arab Women wage against patriarchy while facing an intersection of other opressions.

What I didn't like

While speaking from an Arab Woman’s perspective the play at it’s root shows us that under our differences lie universal experiences and emotions.

My overall impression

Finally, in a time where white feminism flirts with supporting imperialist women in power, this work highlights the importance of intersectionality and solidarity that listens to the voice of those it claims to support.
