What I liked
Great to hear the story that is rarely told. Great ensemble cast.
What I didn't like
I was very confused by Mary Seacole’s accent. Was it British? Jamaican? It seemed to be a weird mix of both and didn’t feel consistent.
My overall impression
Enjoyable show with interesting characters and strong actors. I do feel like it should have been a longer show though. 1 hour is very short to give a complete history. Seemed like we just flew through her story. (Would have liked to have seen more scenes with her and her husband and also with Florence Nightingale.)
Overall, I definitely recommend it’s play.
