My overall impression

Both writer William Nedved and actor Adam Silver are very funny and enjoyable to watch, and I would love to see them in an actual theater piece. But while Fact & Fiction is an interesting and at times humorous work, it skews more toward an extended stand-up comedy set, with forced moments of “gotcha” revelations that subsequently fail to evoke true emotional impact. Successful one-person shows work when they draw us into the story by relating the universality of the performer’s experience so that we become invested in their journey, an element that is missing in this borderline-self-masturbatory production.
