Brooke’s control of the stage allowed the audience to ride along on her journey as a wife, a mother, a daughter, and a patient throughout the entire show. She seamlessly transitioned from one moment to the next without disrupting the flow of the story. Her distinct characters made me forget that I was watching a one-woman show. One of my favorite scenes was during a visit to her in-laws that brought the room to life, literally.
What I didn't like
My overall impression
A glimpse into motherhood and parenting that is heart-warming and funny. This show shows that not everything goes according to plan… but that can turn out to be a great thing. I couldn’t recommend “October Baby” enough.
