My overall impression
It was refreshing to see a topic and point of view not often depicted on the stage. With a tight and compelling script, minimal set and authentic costumes, the show turns its focus to the relationships between four young musicians struggling to hold on to their spotted dreams while staying true to themselves and to each other. I enjoyed the smart dialog and direction. The performance resonated with me deeply. While I can’t speak from a musician’s point of view, the words of the play felt real enough to inspire me as a fiction writer to consider placing my usual characters and conflicts on the stage for a change. Thank you to a talented cast for the creative spark!
