Character navigates her road to understanding the concept of cellular ancestry. The Holocaust DNA was passed down from those without the tools for coping post-war and the struggles of life are transferred to the children who try to detangle the situation often with detrimental consequences. As the sole survivor in her family she is able to get some relief from survivor’s guilt by having conversations at the gravesite.
In the end the character paints a cautionary tale with hope, love and a great sense of humor. This is a piece from a screenplay being developed.
