Somehow I managed to get all the way to the opening moments of JonBenet Ramsey: The Musical without realizing exactly what I was getting into, without understanding the play I was about to see. And that turned out to be a great thing--because if I'd actively known that I was going to be seeing a parody musical about JonBenet Ramsey's death that would cast her mother as a maniacal, power-hungry madwoman with delusions of being Professor Moriarty-level smart while singing Broadway show-tune melodies...I would probably have backed out. And that would have been a mistake. Because this show--put together by Hannah Rowston and Austen Fletcher and directed by Fletcher as well--is very, very funny. Seeing as I purchased this ticket because I thought it was about Ramsey Bolton (Game of Thrones) and then read the program and was at first confused and then surprised at my inattentiveness, I was prepared to be disappointed. On the contrary, even though I would have never gone to see as show with this title, I was glad I did. The performance and staging/choreography was superb for the space and the overall message still relevant. Thanks.... full review

I thought this production was pretty amazing how a very dark and sad story can be entertaining. The actors did an excellent job. However, I do have to mention that I found it offensive that the unscrupulous lawyers were repeatedly identified as Jewish Lawyers. It wasn't necessary and would have been equally as effective if that particular identification were eliminated.... full review
