Theatre and chill is a cerebral set of shows with a laid back feel as insinuate as its namesake. On the surface, these three wonderfully acted comedies are about the dark side of the dating world as told, refreshingly, from the female perspective. But what lies heavily underneath is a rich layer of what seems to be the show’s overall theme: lonliness. Whether it’s a woman engaging in 20 questions with her stalker or somebody locking herself in the bathroom for a 5-hour-long masterbation binge, each scene crackles with shocking comedy and bittersweet bittersweet honesty. An examination of being alive and alone and the various attempts made to fill the void created with love, loss, or potentially your own fingers. Masterfully done :)
