In this modern adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, Julia Caesar, a modern populist politician defeats her rival Marcus Brutus in their party’s political primary. Caesar, a successful politician already, has been credited with restoring order and wealth to the republic, and is beloved by the people. As her victory is celebrated, a group of rivals who believe Caesar has gone too far in acquiring power and fame hatches a plan to take back the government from her nearly dictatorial clutches.
