What I liked

As a univeristy-trained actor, I have been trained to hate and fear any sort of multimedia projections. These ones are funny, simple, and move the story along. This show was hilarious and honest, especially to non-LA natives who have been through the same culture-shock upon arrival.

What I didn't like

This show reminded me that I never learned to tap dance.

My overall impression

I generally balk at one-person shows, especially autobiographical ones. This is not a solo show to balk at, though. Not many people can hold my interest in a solo show like John Leguizamo or Laurence Fishbourne can, but Theresa’s high energy—without being insufferably bubbly—kept me interested the whole time. Great comedic moments, fun songs, relatable story, and it does not overstay its welcome. I love to watch theatre in under an hour.
