Michael Thomas-Visgar – noteworthy for his incredible singing and stage voice and acting talents – demonstrates a sense and sensibility about adapting this classic to the confines of 90 minutes! The dual casting of Titania/Oberon and Hippolyta/Thesus worked wonderfully. One can only hope (and show support by attending and with you dollars and energy) the talents, not only of the great cast, but of Mr. Thomas-Visgar, who certainly seems to have a promising future ahead in my mind. He found a way to maintain the antiquity of the text and bring the personality quirks of the characters into the 21st century!
What I didn't like
The show was slightly more abbreviated that I prefer. I am somewhat of a Shakespeare lover and so I found the edits, while understandable for timing, a bit too much for this text.
My overall impression
A thoroughly enjoyable evening and a fine example of a well directed and well played show!
