Deliciously provocative, and avant-garde. This production adds a curious darkness from the moment the audience walks into the theater. Simultaneously, the main character unravels the intensity of Hamlet; while rousing the idea of one’s placement in the idea of modernity, the individual, and American.
What I didn't like
The slithering female dancers were sexy, but a bit of a distraction from the main performance.
My overall impression
It is productions such as this that make me happy to support Fringe. I was Hamlet not only entertained, but nudged me to ponder my involvement in the American political space.
