A fun production with a stellar cast. This musical adaptation doesn't stick play-by-play to the original film's story line (as thin as that story line was) but the real essence of The Toxic Avenger is the comical and over-the-top tone of the film, which is definitely here. The musical has playfully added in elements of modern day anxiety about pollution and global warming, which fits this retelling of the story. Of course, at the end of the day the show is just a fun, campy, comic book-style romp--as it should be. It works.... full review

An excellent piece of work from this cast of 5 with standouts being Wesley and Danny, White Dude and Black Dude, respectively, playing numerous characters each, without looking like they were going to pass out or become winded. Mad props for the stamina of the entire cast and crew! The Mayor was hilarious, Sarah has a rich, flirty voice, and Toxie rips at your heart strings--he's just trying to be a good guy.
